The week that was and what's on next weekend...
Saturday 9th of November
As the sailing school was wrapping up the smell of lunch being cooked on the deck wafted over the trainees, joining other members on the deck the Gourmet sausages were gobbled up. With the course laid after some discussion on wind direction we ran two races in very pleasant conditions, of course, Doug Carswell found the shift of the day and the rest was history. @ races in the can and a few more cans on the deck after saw the end of the great day at the club, How great to hear kids playing on paddle boards laughing and teasing each other after we had a magnificent day on the water. Oh, the sounds of joy!
Next weekend on Saturday the 16th we have sail training and races 9 and 10 of the Metcalf series, Lunch will be available from noon. From Friday evening til Sunday the 17th we have the Sonata Association coming for their cruising workshop both on and off the water. The second ROUS race is on and to top it off we have the second Lunch by the Lake event, This event is a great opportunity for members to introduce friends and enjoy a talk about the club and lakes history and a guided tour of the facility after a seafood Paella lunch, you can register on the following address on the web site https://www.beyc.org.au/
